नेपाल सम्वत् ११४५  तछलागाः ७ (असार ४, २०८२ ) जून १८, २०२५ ,बुधबार, बाँपीझ्याला । The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal released a book titled Tapai Pani Malik Banna Saknuhuncha featuring fifty success stories of Nepali migrant workers who returned after working in South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS). The book, written in Nepali by Shiva Prasad Pokharel, was launched jointly by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Korean Ambassador Park Tae-Young. It highlights returnees’ achievements across various sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, services, and education.

At the launch event, Minister Paudel praised the Korean Embassy for documenting these inspiring stories, noting the move strengthens Nepal-Korea relations. Ambassador Park emphasized that the book showcases the transformative impact of labor migration under the EPS program, highlighting how returning workers have become drivers of local progress by investing their skills, savings, and experience into their communities.

The ambassador also noted that the book serves as proof of how well-managed temporary labor migration can generate sustainable benefits for both countries. Since 2007, over 100,000 Nepali workers have participated in the EPS program, which fosters equal employment opportunities in Korea and promotes dignified reintegration into Nepalese society.

Additionally, Ambassador Park highlighted ongoing support initiatives like the KOICA-backed "K-Hami" project, which aids returning migrants through training and entrepreneurship resources. With Nepal’s youthful population, such programs aim to harness the potential of young Nepalis, supporting their entrepreneurial journeys and contributing to the country’s economic growth and resilience.
