Kathmandu, July 2026 
Nepa: Dance academy (NDA) Junior has returned home after achieving remarkable success at the GLX Dance Championship 2026, held in Thailand on July 16. The team arrived back in Nepal on July 20 after representing the country in the international competition, where more than 50 teams from different countries participated.

The 16-member NDA Junior team delivered outstanding performances across three categories. The team secured first place in the Teens Division, first place in the Mega Crew Division, and second place in the Junior Team Division. Along with these titles, the team also received the prestigious Best Outfit and Best Choreography awards.

According to Nepal Dance Academy, the championship provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their talent while promoting cultural exchange among dancers from different countries. Every team member returned home with a medal in recognition of their performance.

Academy officials stated that the achievement reflects the team's dedication, months of preparation, and hard work. They expressed gratitude to the coaches, parents, teachers, and well-wishers whose support contributed to the success.

Founded in 2020 by Rina Maharjan and Rashila Maharjan, Nepal Dance Academy has become one of the country's leading dance institutions. In 2024, the academy also won first place at the World Supremacy Battleground and secured second place in World of Dance Nepal Season 2.

The participants included Anit Chaudhary, Trina Maharjan, Fijus Tamang, Sanyam Gurung, Pabash Tamang, Fursang Lama, Kajal Maharjan, Bimisha Dongol, Mayara Prajapati, Samriddhi Shakya Gurung, Omika Maharjan, Shalin Shrestha, Manaki Tamang, Ritika Manandhar, Sudiksha Karmacharya, and Pari Shahi.

The team was coached by Shriti Maharjan, while Swastik Acharya and Saroj Moktan served as the videographer and manager. The academy was led by Rashila Maharjan during the championship.

Nepal Dance Academy stated that it remains committed to promoting Nepali dance on the international stage and will continue its efforts to establish Nepal's presence in global dance competitions.
