Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that changing the country’s situation is now the top priority, emphasizing that government changes are commonplace. At a program organized by the CPN (UML) Sindhupalchowk District Committee at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today, to congratulate and extend best wishes to him, he mentioned that Nepali people are enthusiastic about the formation of a new government.
“Government change is not a significant issue. Governments change repeatedly. This change has fostered hope and trust among the people,” PM Oli shared. He added that the government would focus on controlling corruption, infrastructure development, and providing relief to the people, expressing a commitment to conduct activities that support good governance.
Prime Minister Oli reiterated his commitment to placing the people at the center of government activities. Acknowledging the devastating impact of landslides, inundation, and floods in some parts of the country due to the monsoon, he explained the challenges posed by Nepal’s geographical conditions in protecting against such disasters.
He underscored that disaster risk reduction has been prioritized in the first cabinet meeting. Prime Minister Oli stressed that the government is committed to providing installment amounts for the construction of houses for Jajarkot earthquake victims. Furthermore, PM Oli shared plans for installing parapets and floodlights at the Kirtipur-based Cricket Stadium within 300 days.
