NOC hikes petroleum prices, petrol up by Rs 4 per litre

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products, effective from 1:00 am on July 16.

According to to new price, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs 4 per litre, while diesel and kerosene oil have seen a hike of Rs 3 per litre.

Following the hike, the new prices in various regions are as follows:

Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amalekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj:

  • Petrol: Rs 168.50 per litre
  • Diesel and Kerosene: Rs 157.50 per litre

Surkhet and Dang:

  • Petrol: Rs 170 per litre
  • Diesel and Kerosene: Rs 159 per litre

Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, and Dipayal:

  • Petrol: Rs 171 per litre
  • Diesel and Kerosene: Rs 160 per litre

The decision to increase the prices was made during a meeting of the NOC Board of Directors on Monday.

According to NOC, the adjustment in the domestic market prices reflects the rise in the purchase prices from the Indian Oil Corporation, with petrol prices increasing by Rs 4.48 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.83 per litre.
