The upcoming wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son in Jamnagar, Gujarat, promises to be a grand affair, drawing billionaires, heads of state, and celebrities from around the world. The festivities, set to span three days, will feature performances by Rihanna, David Blaine, and Bollywood singers, offering a mix of international and local entertainment.

Jamnagar, the city where the Ambani family’s oil refinery is located, will witness traditional ceremonies alongside extravagant celebrations. Ahead of the event, the Ambani family organized a food service for 51,000 people in nearby villages, reflecting their commitment to community engagement. The groom, Anant Ambani, is marrying Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and Shaila Merchant, an entrepreneur.

The pre-wedding festivities will include a visit to Anant Ambani’s animal rescue center, “Vantara,” housing abused and endangered animals, where guests will don “jungle fever” outfits. Attendees will adhere to themed dress codes each day, with ample support from stylists and designers provided by the hosts. Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest individual according to Forbes, heads Reliance Industries, a conglomerate with diverse interests spanning petrochemicals, telecoms, and retail.

While Indian business magnates typically hold onto power, Mukesh Ambani has initiated a transition, entrusting leadership roles to his children. His elder son, Akash, chairs Reliance Jio, while daughter Isha oversees the retail sector, and younger son Anant has entered the new energy business. Notable attendees include Mohammed Bin Jassim al Thani, prime minister of Qatar, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and the king and queen of Bhutan, underscoring the event’s global significance.
